About Todd
Todd Walsh is Australia's foremost expert on the giant freshwater crayfish, the world's largest invertebrate and a species endemic to Tasmania.
Background
Todd is based on the north west coast of Tasmania. He's been tracking and surveying the giant freshwater crayfish since the late 1990s, and he's one of the only licensed handlers of this unique animal. The giant crayfish is currently classified as vulnerable, and Todd's longstanding surveys and research contributes to understand what is needed to protect this species.
